Water Street, Block Island ![]() We have a bad habit of going to Block Island in the off-season, which means we usually miss the opportunity to enjoy a more-than-satisfying meal of steamers, stuffies, and chowder. Finn's New England clam chowder (invariably referred to as "award-winning"), is delicious and teeming with tender bits of clam. Veering from tradition, their stuffies are garnished with melted jack cheese and bacon. Another popular favorite is the hot lobster salad sandwich, and Finn's menu includes all of the other requisite seaside fare, as well, to eat in or take out. Finn's Fish Market, in business for over thirty years, is right next door, so all of their seafood offerings are as fresh as can be. They also serve cabinets, and Yankee Magazine recommends the strawberry-rhubarb pie. Finn's is open for lunch and dinner from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
