Television shows like Brotherhood might try to capture the spirit of our little state, but there is nothing more Rhode Island than quahog.org, "the definitive Rhode Island road trip." We love this website for many, many reasons—one of which is the Incarceration Countdown for Buddy (it's just a matter of months now!) and Richard Hatch, who will be occupied for considerably longer.

Quahog might sound suspiciously like an episode of Family Guy, but you won't find any matricidal infants here. You will find, though, an up-to-the-minute events calendar for what's going on all around the state, an exhaustive list of attractions that, even though you've lived here for years, you probably haven't been to. Quahog also includes a long, surprisingly difficult trivia section. For example, do you know what the Hessian Hole is? (FYI: The Hessian Hole, in Portsmouth, is the site of the Battle of RI, which was the largest [Rhode Island] land battle in the Revolutionary War. It's rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of soldiers who died there.) What about the year Bob Dylan went electric at the Newport Folk Festival? (That was 1965.) It's pretty much everything you've ever wanted to know about RI but didn't know where to find it.
