Mill overseer Isaac Peace Rodman's towering grave marker is located in South Kingstown historical cemetery #30, on private property owned by a cement plant. Rodman survived the First Battle of Bull Run and went on to distinguish himself in the battles of Roanoke and New Berne, North Carolina, eventually earning the rank of Brigadier General. On September 30, 1862, he was mortally wounded while leading a division at the Battle of Antietam.
